Justice Haynes entered the portal and now we have a landing spot for the talented running back. The former Alabama product will take his talents up north and has committed to play for Michigan.
Matt Zenitz over at 247 Sports was the first to report the news:
Heading into 2025, Haynes will likely be the starting running back with the Wolverines sharing time with the incumbent Jordan Marshall. Donovan Edwards and Kaleel Mullings are off to the NFL so Michigan really needed a back and they got a good one.
Haynes, a former four star prospect during the 2023 cycle out of Buford Georgia high school, spent this past season at Alabama in a timeshare with Jam Miller. He rushed for ran for 448 yards and seven touchdowns in a meh season by him. Add in 17 receptions for 99 yards too. He certainly has more talent than his production has shown to this point.
With Haynes gone, Richard Young will likely get more looks in 2025. Jam Miller will still be there for his senior season too. Bama also got a commitment from the No. 2 RB prospect Akylin Dear who could see playing time right away as a true freshman. Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley are also younger guys on the roster who could force their way into playing time.
Michigan has done pretty well in the portal including reeling in linebacker Troy Bowles, the son of Bucs head coach Todd Bowles.
