AJ Brown Believes Tennessee Fans ‘Hate Him’
This Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles plays host to the Tennessee Titans in a pivotal matchup with substantial playoff implications. The Eagles are 10-1 and lead the NFC, while the Titans sit at 7-4, clinging onto a lead in the AFC South. This game is big enough as it is, but it also marks the first time AJ Brown will be facing his former team, the Titans.
Due to contract negotiations stalling, Brown requested a trade from the Titans weeks before the 2022 NFL Draft. Tennessee would eventually fulfill his request, sending him to Philadelphia for a first-round pick in that year’s draft, which would turn into Treylon Burks. It is safe to say that there is no love lost between Brown and Titans fans, and he spoke on that recently.

“Oh, they hate me,” Brown said of Titans fans, according to James Palmer of NFL Network. “Part of it is my fault. I mean, some people still love me, but I think the majority of their fans are out to get me. It’s a part of it, though.”
Soon after this mega deal took place, Brown and the Eagles agreed on a massive four-year, $100 million deal, making Brown one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.
AJ Brown is having a great start to his career in Philadelphia, establishing a connection early with Jalen Hurts. Brown has caught 53 passes for 831 yards and seven touchdowns through 11 games with his new team. Many believe he was underrated during his time in Tennessee where over three seasons he hauled in 185 receptions for 2,995 yards and 24 touchdowns. Brown is entering his prime right now and he could not be doing it in a better place than Philadelphia.
