AEW Dynamite Preview (11/23/22): First-Time Ever Dream Match

AEW Dynamite is set to feature some really interesting matches. This is the fallout from what happened at Full Gear just a couple of days ago. Also, we are getting a championship match and we will determine a new challenger for the AEW World Championship. AEW has felt lackluster all around lately, but after Full Gear, it feels like they have righted the ship. They got a few key stars back during the pay-per-view along with crowned some new champions. So AEW’s future looks to be an exciting one. Let’s take a look at what to expect heading into AEW Dynamite.

We Will See Jade Cargill’s and Bow Wow’s Incident

Over the past couple of weeks, Jade Cargill and Rapper, Bow Wow, have been throwing shots at each other on social media. But recently, Jade Cargill and the Baddies showed up at Bow Wow’s concert and confronted him during a meet and greet. So we will be seeing everything that happened during the incident.

We Will Hear From William Regal

We are set to hear from the ultimate villain, William Regal on AEW Dynamite. This will be the first time we hear from him following his betrayal of Jon Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club at Full Gear. It is going to be very interesting to see what he has to say.

Ethan Page vs. Ricky Starks

Ethan Page is set to take on Ricky Starks in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. The winner of this match is going to take on AEW World Champion, MJF, at Winter is Coming. Originally, this match was supposed to take place at Full Gear, but after Ricky Starks sustained an injury, they had to postpone his match. There is a lot on the line as World Title opportunities don’t just get handed out. This is by far the biggest opportunity either of these have gotten in AEW. But with the Firm on Page’s side, Starks is going to have to beware of them lurking on the outside.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match

Jake Hager vs. Orange Cassidy (c)

Orange Cassidy has defended his All-Atlantic Championship against anyone who wants a shot. He has beaten a good list of competitors, but this week, he faces Jake Hager. Following an unusual interaction backstage at Full Gear, Cassidy decided to give Hager a shot at the title. This is a big opportunity for Hager as he doesn’t get very many shots at titles in AEW. He is going to need to keep the pace of the match slow and grounded if he wants to have the best chance of winning. Also, the numbers are in the favor of Hager as he has all of the Jericho Appreciation Society by his side.

ROH World Championship Match

Tomohiro Ishii vs. Chris Jericho (c)

Chris Jericho has vowed to destroy ROH and its legacy. He has been a success in doing so by beating numerous former ROH champions and even attacking Jerry Lynn and Bobby Cruise. Following his win at Full Gear, Jericho challenged former ROH Television Champion, Tomohiro Ishii for the title. Ishii has held numerous championships in countless promotions over his long and historic career. He is known for his hard-hitting and ability to just absorb punishment. This will be a true test for ROH World Champion, Chris Jericho, as he has yet to defend his title against anyone like this.

The Elite vs. Death Triangle (c)

The Elite returned at Full Gear following a suspension from All Out. They returned to challenge AEW Trios Champions Death Triangle. The Elite had to relinquish the Trios Titles once they got suspended, so this was their opportunity to win them back at AEW Dynamite. Death Triangle has been dominant as a trios team and got a massive win under their belts at Full Gear, but it doesn’t stop there. Following their match, Tony Khan announced that there will be a best-of-seven series for the AEW Trios Championships. This will be the second match in the series, as Death Triangle already has a win. This will be a true test to see who is the better trios team.
