Aaron Rodgers Was Awesome During The Pat McAfee Show

I know this isn’t the first time Aaron Rodgers has appeared on the Pat McAfee show but wow that was awesome. During the interview, Rodgers announced his intentions to join the Jets heading into the 2023-24 season. It’s not about what happened. It’s about how it happened. Rodgers aced his interview with McAfee and people should reflect more positively on him because of it.

Rodgers isn’t perfect. Nobody is. I still can’t believe he conned the Jets into giving Allen Lazard that type of money. A player who flat out stinks. It sounds like washed up Mercedes Lewis and Randall Cobb are also on the way. Beyond that, Rodgers torched the Packers in the least bitter way possible.

I don’t want to reveal too many spoilers in case you want to go back and watch it yourself but here are some quick hitters that stood out to me.

Rodgers makes it very clear the Packers didn’t want him to come back yet are twisting the narrative in the media to make it sound like they are receptive to him coming back. He did it in a way that even sounded supportive of Jordan Love and he looked like he genuinely meant it.

Not only that but he even gassed himself up in a beautiful rant that actually makes you feel insane that the Packers aren’t doing right by him. He does have a point. Longest player in franchise history. Greatest player in franchise history. From California and never tested the free agent market. Should it count for something when it comes to trade demands? He made a hell of a case nevertheless. Even if you don’t fully agree with him, his thoughts are very valid.
