This is great news for fans since the first Marvel Spider-Man game was phenomenal. Spider-Man was released in 2018 and it was nominated for many awards, including The Game Award for Game of the Year. It was a great game in all aspects of storytelling, gameplay and overall design. Now in 2023, it is time to see if Spider-Man 2 can deliver in the same way.
Spider-Man 2 will follow the same single-player formula as the last game. Also, it will be an action-adventure game with focuses on awesome fighting and allows the gamer to immerse themselves as Spider-Man.
Insomniac and Sony Interactive Entertainment have gold with the Spider-Man series so it will be important for them to deliver another stellar game.
Spider-Man 2 will release on October 20th as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Furthermore, PC gamers may have to wait a bit before they can get their hands on the game — but gamers and Marvel fans can be excited that Spider-Man 2 is around the corner regardless
What we know so far:
Now, that everyone knows the release date people can look back at the gameplay trailers. This game is taking a huge leap as gamers will be allowed to play as Peter Parker and Miles Morales. It will not be co-op, but players will be able to fight crime as both masked web slingers.
Also, each Spider-Man will have different suits with varying upgrades and powers. However, what will stay the same is that Spider-Man 2 will take place in the iconic New York City.
Not only do all these details sound great but also Spider-Man villain Kraven the Hunter will take center stage in the game. This might be the best information of all as Kraven the Hunter is one of the best Spider-Man villains without a doubt. However, he has yet to appear on the big screen and his last video game outing was in 2014 in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Overall, fans should be excited about the new title and to see what Insomniac can do with the character of Kraven the Hunter.
