Clueless Marlins Owner Derek Jeter Has ‘Zero Patience’ Wants To Win Now

The Miami Marlins are the laughing stock of Major League Baseball. You could make the argument that they are the laughing stock of any team in any of the 4 major sports. It’s that bad. The Marlins had the worst record in the National League in 2018 and things aren’t looking any better as far as 2019 is concerned.

Things just continue to get more hilarious in Marlins land. GM, Michael Hill came out to the media yesterday and begged the fans to give the team a chance. Probably because no one is going to the games. Now team owner, Derek Jeter came out with an even more ignorant quote:

Jeter claims that he wants to win now? He has no patience for dealing with a losing team?

“I have no patience,” Jeter said. “I have zero patience. I’ve been preaching it. I don’t have it.”

“Patience is something that you have to learn,” Jeter said. “But I’m fine with not being patient. It’s like I say: When you’re at the major-league level, you’re here for a reason, because these players have been better than most other players in this country and in other countries as well. And if you’re here, you have an opportunity to win. I can’t preach that enough.”

This guy just sucks. If you wanted to win, why did you have your entire team traded? The answer was to save cost because buying the team virtually bankrupted Jeter, to begin with. Does Jeter understand that even if he hits on the right prospects, this team is going to stink for a minimum of 5 years. That’s just how baseball rebuilds work. Especially when that team is unwilling to spend significant payroll.
