Hockey Guy Trey Goes For Fantasy Glory: 2023 Finals, Week 1
It was a strong start for Hockey Guy Trey in the finals. The first few days were slow but team Icing Daubert eventually exploded. Jerry Walker is putting up a hell of a fight but still trails 243.5-169.6. Yes, we’re up big after the first week but the job is still not finished.
Some guys deserve shout outs for their performances. Maybe none more notable than the back-to-back shutout efforts from Stuart Skinner and Jack Campbell. I have a future on the Oilers winning the Cup but they’re finding their stride at the right time of year. Skinner posted a 43 save shutout against the Kings on March 30th. Two days later Campbell posted a 36 save clean sheet performance against the Ducks. That’s 31.8 big boy points just in those two starts which certainly created a good chunk of the separation.
It also helps having Connor McDavid on your team which feels borderline illegal sometimes. Others to note include Aleksander Barkov having a three assist night against Columbus. Miro Heiskanen and Jason Robertson were on complete tears compiling ten points combined the last two games. David Pastrnak also had five goals during the week which is borderline insane.
The Sean Allen video is going to be a blood bath. Who else dominates fantasy hockey like this? At this point I’d be shocked if we don’t win by over 100 for a second consecutive year. I would pity the fool but I don’t cause I warned you this was coming.
