Mike Brown Supports the Kings following the Bucks Altercation

Mike Brown stood up for his team after a physical altercation between players on March 13 between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Sacramento Kings.

Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo was calmly dribbling out the game’s final seconds in front of Kings forward Trey Lyles. Several Kings players expressed their frustration with Antetokounmpo’s slow and skewed dribbling during the game. What fans didn’t realize was that there would soon be a physical altercation between both teams.

A furious Lyles attempted to steal the ball from Antetokounmpo with 15.1 seconds left before shoving him with both hands. Antetokounmpo was not aware that Bucks center Brook Lopez had approached Lyles. Immediately, Lyles grabbed Lopez’s neck. Soon after, Lopez grabbed Lyles’ back from behind as officials, players, coaches and security from both sides hurriedly gathered resulting into the altercation.

Both players were eventually separated and ejected from the matchup. Once Brown took notice of this altercation, he stepped in to defend his team.

“I don’t know what happened, but we ain’t taking no shit from nobody,” Brown said postgame after Monday’s 133-124 loss. “Trust me on that. And they’re all going to have each other’s backs in there.”

Coach Brown has described numerous times how the Kings do not tolerate any sort of nonsense that was displayed during the end of that game and will continue to get stronger and better in the future.

“That don’t mean we’re going to go out there and start something, but we’re going to stand up for ourselves and each other,” Brown continued.

Results Of The Brawl

Brown used the occasion to address the altercation that occurred at the conclusion of the Sacramento Kings vs. Milwaukee Bucks game. Due to this altercation, Bucks center suffered a gash to his left eye, Lyles and Lopez had to be separated.

“He could have dribbled it out and avoided it,” Lyles said, according to Sacramento Bee reporter Jason Anderson. “I was simply heading back with my head down if you watched. He moved across in front of me. He somewhat overpriced it. Nothing about it was private.”

Having A Good Coach

The finest choice they made this season was to acquire Brown during the offseason. Sacramento is presently in third place in the West standings at 43-29, which may indicate that their string of poor seasons has come to an end. Thanks to Mike Brown, they’re on track to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2005–06 season. Coach Brown new how to handle this issue and how to respond to the public about it.
