Taylor doesn’t think Tom Brady is the GOAT because of ‘all the rules on his side’

Recently, Lawrence Taylor has come out and gave his input on who is the GOAT of football. Safe to say, he doesn’t think it’s Tom Brady, according to Ashley Nicole Moss.

The legendary New York Giants linebacker has given his opinion on who really is the greatest football player of all time following Brady’s retirement. It looks like he is sticking with all-time great San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana.

“Joe Montana is still my man,” Taylor said on the “I Am Athlete” podcast this week, via Ashley Nicole Moss. “Still my man. You say greatest quarterbacks ever, I’m still with Joe Montana. I’m not going with Tom Brady. … Listen, Tom Brady got all the rules on his side. You can’t touch him. You can’t touch him. If you hit him, if you breathe on him, they’re gonna throw a flag.”

Tom Brady has officially retired!

In my opinion, I think Lawrence has a really good point here. Brady can’t get touched in this league. Every time he does, a flag is thrown. Roughing the passer calls has been a massive debate among fans of the past few years as NFL referees protect quarterbacks on every single hit.

“I don’t understand how he drops back eight yards, and he sits in a little cocoon, and they’re not sending people at him,” Taylor said, via Ashley Nicole Moss. “Why is the defense not sending people? Man, let me tell you something.… If I’m playing, I’m hitting him every play. Even if I had to just pat him on the ass, I was right there beside you, brother.”
