‘MLB: The Show 23’ Cover Athlete Revealed
The longstanding baseball game series The Show has just announced the latest athlete to feature on the cover. Jazz Chisholm, infielder for the Miami Marlins, will be the cover athlete for The Show 23, according to a tweet from the official MLB ‘The Show’ Twitter account.
The Choice
The Show 23 is the 17th title in San Diego Studio’s baseball video game series. Like most annually released sports games, the series features updated rosters of players, coaches, and more. This includes the cover athlete, which for the past few years has been trending to newer players as opposed to veterans of the game.
Chisholm is a native from the Bahamas and current second baseman for the Marlins, though he is scheduled to move to the center field position for the upcoming season. He started his professional career in the MLB in 2016. In a livestream event on the MLB’s YouTube channel, Chisholm exclaimed his excitement of being on the cover.
“It’s something I always dreamed of from when I was a kid,” Chisholm said.
The Release Date
The Show 23 is slated to be released on March 28. Just two days before the MLB season begins. While Chisholm has been revealed to be the new cover athlete, announcements and news regarding the game’s new features and collectors edition is still to come.
