Kelce Brothers set to face off in Super Bowl LVII
The AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles will headline Super Bowl LVII. With the two No. 1 seeds set to clash, one of the more compelling and interesting storylines for NFL fans will be the Kelce brothers’ face-off.
Jason and Travis Kelce have been ranked at the top of their positions in the NFL for a while. Both brothers now look to lead their teams to what would be a second Lombardi Trophy in their careers, and family bragging rights.
With the 10-year anniversary of the “Harbaugh Bowl” in just a few days, it is fitting that the “Kelce Bowl” is set to take place on Feb. 12. While Super Bowl XLVII saw the matchup of brother head coaches, this will be the first Super Bowl to feature two brothers competing on opposing teams. The only guarantee is that one Kelce brother will have one more Super Bowl ring than the other.
Most Accomplished NFL Brother Duo Ever?
Brothers meeting in the Super Bowl is compelling by itself. However, the meeting of two likely future Hall of Fame brothers in the Super Bowl takes it to another level. The perfect stage has been set for the Kelce brothers to face-off in Super Bowl LVII.
Jason and Travis both attended and played football for the University of Cincinnati. The duo has a combined nine first-team All-Pro selections. All of which have occurred from 2016 until this season, in which both were selected to the list.
Both players have only played for the teams that initially drafted them. Both players were also drafted by the same head coach, Andy Reid. And most importantly, both have won the Super Bowl playing significant roles. Both players are potentially entering the latter stages of their career, so this game will definitely play a role in the legacy of both players’ careers.
