Where do fans want Francis Ngannou to go next? Boxing; PFL

The news that Francis Ngannou was released by the UFC shocked MMA fans across the world. People that have been monitoring this situation knew that the writing was on the wall, but it is still wild to see the UFC lose one of their biggest stars. This is a sad look for the promotion as they are losing arguably the scariest fighter on the planet because they don’t want to pay him the money he deserves.

Ariel Helwani, one of the biggest MMA journalists in the world, asked people where they wanted to see Ngannou fight next and he offered Bellator, PFL, Boxing and BKFC as options.

Boxing won the poll with 44% of the vote followed by PFL with 28%. Boxing rumors have always surrounded Ngannou so it is not surprising that people want to see him in the ring. Back in June 2022, boxer Tyson Fury added to these rumors when he stated he was interested in doing an exhibition fight with Ngannou. This fight would be humongous as both Fury and Ngannou are fan favorites.

However, not all people were excited about the idea of Ngannou in boxing.

Francis Ngannou in other promotions

PFL and Bellator are other MMA promotions, but they live in the UFC’s shadow. They have some talented fighters, and they can put on good events, but they cannot compare to the UFC’s roster of fighters.

Simply put, Ngannou would dominate in either of these promotions — to be fair, he was also dominating in the UFC. This is also not about Ngannou not wanting to fight the best fighters on the planet as Dana White would suggest. It is about Ngannou not getting paid what he is worth, so if he has to switch promotions, so be it.

Another promotion Ngannou could join is Bare Knuckle Fight Club (BKFC). This would be truly terrifying as Ngannou is a savant at putting people to sleep with gloves on, so he does not need the added power of taking the gloves off. The thought of Ngannou in BKFC gave some people a laugh.

However, by the fan reactions to the tweet, it was clear that a lot of people just want to see Ngannou back with the UFC.

People do not know where Ngannou will go yet, but one thing is for sure, he will have fans follow him wherever he chooses to go.

Now, let’s hope the UFC realizes the error in their ways and they get the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou back by paying him what he deserves.
