WWE SmackDown Preview (1/6/23): The Usos and GUNTHER Defend
Friday’s episode of SmackDown emanates from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. That would be 191 Beale Street. See, you guys learned something new today! Anyhow, the main event of SmackDown will see The Usos defend their Undisputed Tag Team Championships versus Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.
The Scottish Warrior returned on last week’s show, aiding his frenemy The Celtic Warrior during a post-match assault by The Bloodline. On paper, The Warriors could take this one any day of the week, and twice on Friday. However, this isn’t a non-title match, so expect The Usos to do something Ucey and get out of 191 Beale Street with their titles one way or another. ‘CAUSE YOU THE TWOS, AND WE THE ONES!!!
Also on Friday’s show, Ricochet goes one-on-one with Top Dolla in a Royal Rumble qualification match — talk about high stakes. Expect a botched clothesline and some awkward looking kicks by Dolla, before The One and Only lands the 630 for the pin.
After Charlotte Flair became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion last week, it will be interesting to see how the situation develops further.
Stay tuned with Vendetta Sports Media as we bring you the latest on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. And don’t forget to catch the latest episode of The Burning Hammer, where I join the GOAT Mark Izzo and Dillon O’Brien for the very first time to discuss Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent, Sasha Banks and her New Japan debut, the Pitch Black match, and more.
