Is Undisputed on Fox as we know it finished?

Is this the end of Undisputed?

Could Undisputed be finished? It very well could be the beginning of the end.

The sports world has been in a state of shock ever since Damar Hamlin suffered a freak injury during Monday Night Football. At the time of writing, things are fortunately moving in a positive direction in regards to his condition.

Here is a tweet from Adam Schefter with more information:

One of the biggest talking points following Hamlin’s collapse was Skip Bayless’ reaction to it. The Fox Sports personality jumped right into the potential scheduling concerns of canceling the game rather than focusing on Hamlin.

There was a pretty much unanimous response.

It was one of the most inconsiderate and careless tweets in recent history. Many fans have even called for Bayless’ job and believe Fox should take some form of disciplinary action. Undisputed co-host Shannon Sharpe even took off work the next day over the whole situation. From the outside looking in, it appears we have reached a critical juncture for the show after all of this.

Then, Sharpe returned today. He was incredibly considerate and thoughtful of Hamlin and put the whole situation in perspective. However, Bayless had the nerve to interrupt Sharpe’s opening monologue and try to defend himself.

Check out the whole opening below:

On Thin Ice?

Skip Bayless has gone way too far and been way too wrong on many things. But trying to put this situation in any other focus besides Hamlin is straight up clueless.

At this point, we as fans have to put faith in the NFL to make the right decision as it pertains to completing the regular season. Though Bayless, evidently, does not realize that there is a time and place in all of this.

God forbid Damar Hamlin dies. I am praying that he does not, but in the worst-case scenario, what if Bills players don’t want to play? They deserve a break because I cannot even imagine what they are going through.

Personally, I would have a hard time looking at Bayless in the eyes if I’m Shannon Sharpe. Not only does he go on the record with one of the worst tweets of the 2020s, but then he interrupts a somber moment to try and double down on it.

I have a feeling this could very well lead to the demise of Undisputed. Furthermore, this could lead to the end of Skip Bayless. He has been so off the mark on so many things, that this could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Executives at Fox must be putting every option on the table, especially when you consider the possibility of Sharpe walking out also being on the table.

Keep your eyes peeled on this. I think we could be seeing some seismic shakeups in the near future. But more importantly, pray for Damar Hamlin and his family.
