Ash Ketchum & Pikachu’s 25-Year Journey End Date – New Pokemon Series Announced
After 25 years the journey of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu will officially end, and a new Pokemon series has been announced! Here are the details!
Official End Date & Announcement
First things first, the official Pokemon Twitter account put out a tweet with the following caption:
An all-new Pokémon series has been announced! Join 2 new characters and 3 Paldea starter Pokémon as they adventure through the Pokémon world! Plus, commemorate Ash’s journey with special episodes concluding Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series. Coming soon in 2023 and beyond! – Via the Pokemon Twitter account.
The tweet also contains a video that lasts one minute and 20 seconds, highlighting some memories of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu as well as saying “The Final Chapter In Ash And Pikachu’s Story.” The video also gives us a definitive date for the final episode starring the iconic duo of many people’s childhood.
The final chapter in Ash and Pikachu’s story: 11 episodes to air starting Friday, January 13, 2023 – Via the Pokemon Twitter account.
A New Series With New Characters
The same video concludes with captions saying the following:
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. Across the wide world a brand-new dream and adventure is about to begin. – Via the Pokemon Twitter account.
The video then ends by showing a girl and a boy with the three Paldea starter Pokemon. No official date for this new series, or even its title, has been revealed yet.
A final bow was put on it by Sarah Natochenny, who is the English voice actor for Ash Ketchum and has been for what will be 17 years.
