ROH Final Battle is quickly approaching. After AEW Dynamite, there were a few very intriguing matches added to the ROH Final Battle card. There are multiple grudge matches being settled and this pay-per-view can change the landscape of ROH for the future. Sports gambling is extremely popular all around the world and now you can bet on professional wrestling. It is worth noting that these are the odds at the time of writing this article, December 9th, so the odds may change in the coming days. Also, there aren’t any odds out yet for the ROH Six Man Tag Team Championship match. All of these odds are brought to you by betonline.ag.
Swerve in our Glory are the favorite in this match and that is intriguing. Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland have been having their share of disagreements as of late. Plus Swerve Strickland has turned on Keith Lee before and I think he will do it again at ROH Final Battle. Ultimately costing them the match and they will be officially done as a team. So I like Shane Taylor Promotions being the underdogs at +250 odds. With all of the issues Swerve in our Glory is having, them being the favorites and at -400 seems too high to me.
FTR and the Briscoes are no strangers to each other. They have easily put on some of the best tag team matches this year and maybe of all time. But the two teams meet again, but this time it will be in a double dog collar match. With rumors of ROH possibly getting some sort of weekly show again, I think the Briscoes are going to win this match. The Briscoes are regarded as one of the best tag teams of the past decade and they have already lost twice to FTR this year. So it’s for those reasons that I like the Briscoes being the underdogs at +150 odds.
Samoa Joe has reverted back to his old ruthless ways since becoming the ROH Television Champion and the AEW TNT Champion. He has made examples out of everyone who stepped up to him. But at ROH Final Battle, he takes on a new opponent. Juice Robinson has recently signed with AEW and now he has a shot at the ROH Television Championship. Robinson has mostly primarily wrestled for NJPW but has appeared in other companies. Robinson will prove to be a worthy opponent for Samoa Joe, but I don’t think Robinson will be able to defeat Joe. While -1250 does seem high, I’m not going to bet on the guy that just got signed to AEW and not ROH. So I’m confidently taking Samoa Joe at -1250 odds.
Daniel Garcia is set to defend his ROH Pure Championship against a bitter rival, Wheeler Yuta. Yuta and Garcia have battled for the Pure Championship before, but in their most recent encounter, Garcia came out on top. Also, these men are in two groups that absolutely can’t stand the sight of the other. So it makes sense why Garcia and Yuta are rivals. As much as I love Wheeler Yuta, I don’t think they are taking the title off Garcia just yet. I like the odds being at -400 in favor of Garcia. I think they could be higher because I think there is a strong chance he retains during this match. So that’s why I’m taking Daniel Garcia as the favorite at -400 odds.
Athena has been on an absolute tear as of late. He has shown he has an extremely aggressive side to her. Anyone who has stepped up has paid the price in full. Now she has her eyes set on the ROH Women’s World Championship. Mercedes Martinez defeated Serena Deeb at ROH Death Before Dishonor this year. While she hasn’t defended the championship, she has been competing in other companies. Athena and Mercedes Martinez have met before about ten years ago with Athena winning their three encounters. While the champion being the underdog is never a good feeling, I’m taking Athena at -400 to walk out of ROH Final Battle as the new Women’s World Champion.
Chris Jericho has been causing absolute terror in ROH since becoming the world champion. He has beaten countless former ROH champions and beat Claudio Castagnoli to win the ROH World Championship. While Jericho and Castagnoli have met countless times in WWE, they have only faced each other once in singles action in AEW. So Castagnoli gets an opportunity to bring some honor back to the ROH World Championship, but if he loses, he will be forced to join the Jericho Appreciation Society.
For me, this is the most difficult match to bet on. Jericho being at -250 is intriguing but there are a few factors that make it hard. Will Tony Khan actually have Castagnoli join the Jericho Appreciation Society? Can Castagnoli afford another loss to Jericho? As hard as it is to decide, I don’t think they’re taking the title off of Jericho yet, so I’m taking “the Ocho” Chris Jericho to retain his ROH World Championship at -250 odds.
