Marcus Smart Is Pissed The Celtics Let Ime Udoka Go

I said it in my last blog and I’ll say it again. Good luck explaining this Ime Udoka thing to the players in the locker room. Brad Stevens needs to be fired yesterday because he’s continuing to humiliate this franchise by simply not having stones. That’s the bottom line and guess what? Marcus Smart agrees with me.

VIA  Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe:

“Obviously, we wish he was here,” Smart told Himmelsbach. “We have no control over that. It definitely sucks. I guess it was deemed that whatever happened was enough for him not to be the coach here, but I guess not enough for him [not] to be a coach anywhere else, obviously.”

“His name got slandered and slaughtered and it was ‘He’ll probably never coach again,’ ” Smart said. “And a couple of months later, now he’s possibly going to be the coach of one of our biggest rivals?

“It’s tough. It makes no sense. But we can’t control that. We have to control what we can, and I love the team here. I love the coaching staff. I love Joe.”

“Nobody died,” Smart said last month. “We didn’t lose anything. I still love Ime as a person and as a coach. It’s just something unfortunate that has happened to him. It doesn’t take away from what he did as a coach. It doesn’t take away how he turned this team around, how he led this team to a first Finals appearance in a long time. It’s just unfortunate that this is where we are at.”

If anybody is going to be authentic and tell the truth in the Celtics building, it’s Marcus Smart. Listen to the man.

“Never coach again, now he’s the coach of our biggest rivals”.

“Makes no sense”.

Yup. Bingo. Nail on the head. We know what happened here. Brad Stevens didn’t seek compensation for Udoka because he’s a coward. He just wanted him out of the building. If he cared about the victim, he would have held firm on the suspension and or made Brooklyn pay up for him. Now Udoka gets to coach again with no punishment. Stevens instead ran away from the problem because that’s who he is.

Red would never.

End of blog.
