Anthony Edwards Basically Confirmed He Hates Playing With Rudy Gobert
We’re two games into the Timberwolves season and Anthony Edwards already hates Rudy Gobert. No, he didn’t exactly come out and say out but we can all read the room here. Following a 132-126 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz, Edwards spoke to the media about what went wrong. Hint: it starts with these goofy lineups Minnesota is experimenting with.
“The smaller we go, the better it is for me,” Edwards said after the Timberwolves’ 132-126 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz on Friday, according to The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski.
That’s weird. It’s almost like we knew this was going to happen. It’s almost like spacing matters. It’s almost like it’s detrimental to team success when you have a big goof hanging in the paint that can’t make a shot unless it’s two inches from the basket. This Rudy Gobert thing won’t work and your best player is already frustrated. You simply can’t make it up.
It’s the worst trade in NBA history and it’s only going to keep getting worse. Minnesota isn’t a real contender and they somehow found a way to piss off the only true star talent on the team. Classic Minnesota!
The smart people know the truth. The short sample size is irrelevant. The T-Wolves sold the farm for a fraud and it will show as the season progresses. People tell you things without telling you things all the time. It’s if you’re smart enough to pay attention. Edwards wants no part of Gobert clogging up the paint. Too bad you’re stuck and screwed.
