Does Chaim Bloom hate cancer research? Bloom’s tone-deaf comments continue to never cease to amaze me. He needs my help so bad. (Barry Chin / Boston Globe)

Does Chaim Bloom Hate Cancer Research?

I tried to tell you, Trey never forgets. I also tried to tell you that Chaim Bloom might be very smart but he’s incredibly tone-deaf and may not be a real person. On August 23rd, Bloom told WEEI on a Jimmy Fund radio call where the proceeds are donated to cancer research, that he would donate $100 per win for the rest of the season.

I know most people don’t have my memory but trust me, you don’t need it for this. All you have to do is look at the standings and you will notice the Red Sox got last place this year. 78-84 on the season. Since August 23rd, the Red Sox went 18-22. The same Red Sox team where their assistant general manager admitted he botched the trade deadline.

Misguided, misguided, misguided.

Instead, that great idiot told the good people of Boston that they were trying to win. His Jimmy Fund statement comes across as exactly what I’ve been saying this guy is the whole time. TONE DEAF.

Imagine saying you’re going to donate to kids with cancer. Then give away Hunter Renfroe and refuse to bring back Kyle Schwarber. Now that’s ignorant.

Look, the Reese McGuire thing looks like it’s going to work. Trading for Eric Hosmer was a good move too. But c’mon… Are we really going to act like that was enough to make that kind of a statement? Like that was enough to fix this team and get them in the playoffs? It’s a joke. The fact that Bloom even said this and then trotted that product out on the field is so disgraceful. People in jail have done far worse when you consider the economic impact a good Red Sox team has on the city.

I’m not saying Bloom should be fired but he needs my help or he’s going to end up losing his job. Tell his people to get in touch with my people. I only want to watch the Red Sox win and be a consultant for the team. I’m not asking for much. Help me help you, Chaim.
