Joe Rogan is the Best UFC Bettor of All Time

Joe Rogan is well-known for a lot of reasons. He is a famous podcaster, comedian, TV show host, and UFC commentator, among a laundry list of other endeavors. Despite his success in those fields, none of them are home to his greatest accomplishment. Come to find out, Rogan is the best UFC bettor of all time. In episode 1,868 of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan revealed that he used to hit on 84% of his UFC bets.

“There were some lines that were so bad, that I had to gamble on them,” Rogan said. “My business partner for Onnit, Aubrey (Marcus), he would come to a lot of the fights and he would gamble. We were at like an 84% success rate.”

If you are not familiar with sports betting, hitting at an 84% clip is ridiculous. If Rogan has his numbers right, there is a strong chance that he was the best UFC bettor of all time. That is not an over-exaggeration. That is how impressive that number is. Have you ever tried to bet on UFC fights? I mean if you can hit on 55% percent of your bets you are legit. If you hit at a 60% rate, you are one of the best out there. Rogan was hitting 84% of his bets. It is honestly absurd.

“I used to bet on UFC, even while I was commentating; I bet on it early on,” Rogan said. “I’m like ‘this is probably not legal.’ “

“There were these guys coming from Japan and the matchmakers might have known about them, but the bookmakers didn’t,” Rogan said. “They had lines like totally off. They had guys that were even money that were a f*****g steal. There were certain fights I would go, ‘I don’t know about that one, but, that one, bet the house on the Brazilian guy’, and we would do this and it was a crazy success rate.”

I understand that some people will probably not like to hear that Rogan was betting on fights that he was commentating on. Let’s be real, Rogan commenting on a fight that he bet on does not affect the outcome of the fight. Rogan was not profiting off some secret insider information either. In the early days of the sport, he just knew more about MMA than the bookie. Credit to him for that.

It sounds like Rogan has stopped betting on fights, but do not let that stop you from knowing he used to be the biggest sharp in the game.
