Steelers Planning To Start Mitch Trubisky Entire 2022-23 NFL Season?
Mitch Trubisky sucks but I tried to tell you that before he ever got drafted. For some reason, the Steelers haven’t quite figured that out six years into the Trubisky experience. Want to hear something better? Despite drafting Kenny Pickett in the first round, it would appear that Mike Tomlin’s initial plan was to start Trubisky for the entire 2022-23 NFL Season.
Tomlin had some choice words for reporters after the Steelers lost their Week 3 game against the Browns to drop to 1-2 on the season. Realistically, Pittsburgh should be 0-3 had Cincinnati just challenged what would have been a game-winning touchdown for Ja’Marr Chase.
Maybe we should take Tomlin’s word on this regardless of how insane it is. Some old footage of Jay Glazer got dug up on the internet today. He’s been saying all along that the Steelers plan is to start Trubisky for the entire season.

I tried to tell you what was going to happen. Football is changing and the old defensive coaches that think they can win games with game managers, running the football, and playing great defense will look lost. The more time that goes on, the more ugly it will get for coaches like Mike Tomlin and Bill Belichick. It’s no surprise both of those teams are struggling.
I’m sorry but Tomlin should be fired for this. Kenny Pickett should have started the season in Week 1. No room for discussion. Instead, Tomlin has to look his fan base in the mirror and explain to them that his team stinks, the guy he picked in the first round wasn’t good enough, and in the modern NFL they have to watch Trubisky for 17 games.
