Jeff Nadu has won the college basketball battle over at Barstool. Nadu will host a new show over at Barstool while Rico’s Bench Mob show has been declared dead. The fat lady has sung.
On the newest episode of the Pick Em Pod, Dave Portnoy announces that the show will no longer continue. That means Rico’s focus will likely remain on just Pick Em.
Also announced on Pick Em… it could be a real Last Dance. Of course, this is a troll mechanism used for many years but this time could be different. If Jeff Nadu continues to carve out a successful career at Barstool, Rico may quit if he gets an offer elsewhere. Apparently, his contract expires at the very end of the year.
If Bench Mob wasn’t dead before, having Marty Mush be a co-host for the Nadu show probably should have been a clear sign. If there was any room for Bench Mob at the company, that got hit with a hammer after Jordan Bohannon and Hunter Dickinson were signed to do the show.
If there was any chance Rico was going to quit, taking away his college basketball duties could be what puts him over the edge. Even Hank whom is his biggest supporter appears to be out on Rico. Maybe it is a real Last Dance situation. However, Big Cat referenced Rico as Jerry Krause in this instance so it remains unclear who the real analogy refers to in this instance.
Case closed. Jeff Nadu wins the college basketball fight against Rico Bosco at Barstool. Case closed.
