Jaylen Brown Has Signed With Donda Sports

Jaylen Brown is the latest athlete to join Donda Sports. The Celtics wing is the second high-profile professional to sign for Kanye West’s marketing firm alongside Rams superstar Aaron Donald. During a press conference leading up to the NBA Finals, Brown called his decision the beginning of “a beautiful collaboration.” When it comes to his rationale behind teaming up with Ye, he also said the following:

“It was time. For me, like I said, anytime I make a life decision, I contemplate. I think about things deeply,” Brown said a day before Thursday’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals (9 p.m. ET, ABC). “And from what I want to do, the missions I want to get accomplished, it was the right decision.”

Regarding brand exposure and marketing yourself, Brown couldn’t have chosen a better time to announce this partnership. Game One of the 2022 NBA Finals tips off tonight in San Francisco. In the regular season, a trending photo of Brown and Kanye was posted after the Celtics’ 110-88 win over the Warriors in the Chase Center. Now, the Finals is the first time Brown will step foot back in that arena. Elsewhere, Brown is more than aware of Kanye and his past. He addressed possible criticisms by saying:

“People have concerns or critiques, etc., but in the world we live in, there’s concerns and critiques in any and everything,” Brown said. “I feel like this is a good moment for me in my particular life. I’m excited to build and create and do things that I’ve always imagined I wanted to do on the court and off.”

It’s Finals Time

Looking forward, Brown can now focus on the game he loves. He and longtime teammate Jayson Tatum are looking to win their first NBA title and make the Boston Celtics 18-time Champions. On the other hand, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are looking to add to a dynasty that had a short break. In conclusion, it should be an excellent series. However, it is fair to say that fans are not exactly in love with this matchup. Regardless, it will hopefully contain some of the basketball of this entire postseason.
