The Buffalo Bills have hired Rex Ryan to be their next head coach. Ryan will become the 18th head coach in franchise history. The contract is for 5 years at $5.5 million per season. 49ners offensive coordinator Greg Roman is expected to become a part of the staff. The Bills expressed interest in retaining defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz but the scheme fit doesn’t entirely make sense. Rex Ryan runs the wide nine 3-4 defense while Schwartz is a 4-3 type of guy.
