Mac Jones: Big Ice Cream Guy?

Mac Jones: Big Ice Cream Guy?

For years, the New England Patriots had a diet freak at the quarterback position. We all know the TB12 method that helped Tom Brady extend his career. Asking Mac Jones to become Tom Brady is an impossible bar. However, can Jones at least try to replicate Brady’s healthy diet? That might be a problem.

Turns out, Mac Jones is a big ice cream guy. Can’t blame him. Ice cream is amazing:

“This offseason will be a big big part of it, just getting stronger and cleaning up on my diet and all that,” Jones said to ESPN. “So there’s a lot that’s gonna go into it before next season even starts. That’s the important part, attacking that, and then hopefully a lot of big changes will come, with whether it’s mechanics or the playbook. I have a lot of time now to kind of digest everything and kind of take it over, how I want to do it.

“I like ice cream too much, like a lot of people,” Jones said. “Just limit it and then try and eat healthy, like we do at the Patriots, every day that give us great food. I just got to talk to Ted (Harper) our nutritionist and make sure we’re on the same page.”

Are we shocked that a guy referred to as Dad bod Jones eats too much ice cream?

Jones, 23, is coming off a really strong rookie campaign. The former first round pick from Alabama threw for 3,801 yards, 22 TDs and 13 INTs which should be considered a strong start for the new Pats signal caller. The Patriots also returned to the postseason with limited offensive weapons. Something Jones deserves credit for as well.

Hey, there is a really easy loop-hole here. TB12 already approves avocado ice cream. Oh, and since Brady retired, Alex Guerrero is looking for a new gig! Then again, we’re pretty sure at this point that Bill Belichick hates Guerrero so that’s not happening.

You can see it happening now, right? Wait until Jones shows up to training camp. The reports are going to be obsessed with his diet all offseason long.
