Will The Patriots Trade Mac Jones? Colin Cowherd Thinks They Might
The Patriots are done but are they out? That depends on if you believe in Mac Jones. The former first round pick from Alabama doesn’t have to become Tom Brady. However, Jones has to become one of those guys you believe the Patriots can win a Super Bowl with. Colin Cowherd says he wouldn’t be shocked if the Patriots trade Mac Jones this offseason.

The hot take police are definitely going to jot this one down. If Jones becomes an elite level franchise quarterback for New England, this video won’t age very well. On second thought, the idea behind trading Jones might not seem far fetched?
Of course, the odds are slim to none that New England decides to trade Jones. It would also be crazy to cut ties with a quarterback you picked in the first round after one year. Albeit a year in which Jones showed a lot of promise too.
Could you make a case why the Patriots should move off Jones? Sure, I guess.
A: Bill Belichick will be 70 this year.
B: What happens if Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, etc is sitting there for the taking? Is there no scenario where you wouldn’t take those guys?
Will it happen? Probably not.
Is it a fun topic? Not really.
But credit to Cowherd for this one. He’s in the news for creating a talking point that’s somehow ridiculous but not totally crazy to where it can’t be discussed.
