Fonts Five is back this week after a solid week last week. We went 3-2 again bringing the season total to 7-8. One game under .500 is a fine spot to be in with 14 weeks remaining. However, we have to win and I have a great feeling this week. Keep up with Empires Finest and the Pick Em contest as new challenger Alex Chick has joined the fray.
Fonts Five: Browns, Panthers, Titans
Cleveland Browns -1
The Browns are playing great football and are clear-cut favorites for the AFC North. Taking on the Vikings and only having to lay one point with this team is a steal. The Vikings just played a great game against the Seahawks and are prone to letdowns like this. Take the Browns here.
Carolina Panthers +4
The Panthers currently have the best defense in football and Sam Darnold is loving the opportunity to resurrect his career. The Cowboys deserve credit too. They’ve looked the best anyone has seen them since 2016 and for good reason. The young studs on defense in Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs are leading this team to victories. However, I love the Panthers getting points. Take the Panthers here as this will not be a high-scoring affair.
Tennessee Titans -6
The Titans are heading to New York to play the Jets without AJ Brown and Julio Jones. I’ll say this if they were playing anyone else I wouldn’t take them. However, they are playing the Jets who have looked really bad this year and I doubt they even make this a close game. Derrick Henry is still in the backfield and the Jets just don’t have the guys to stop him.
Wrap Up with Tampa Bay and San Francisco
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7
Tom Brady is heading home to tie up some loose ends. In what is the most anticipated game of the 2021-2022 season I love the Bucs to throttle the Patriots here. The Bucs defense is still good, they just have some issues to work out, and Mac Jones won’t win with 3-4 yard dump-offs all game. I think Brady and the Bucs roll here and take care of business.
San Francisco 49ers -2.5
The Niners had a really tough loss to Aaron Rodgers at home last week, but they get just the right remedy, their hated rivals in the Seahawks. I absolutely hate the Seahawks they are such frauds and this is mostly my fade the Hawks strategy. The Niners are going to easily win this game they are just too good and the Seahawks are not on their level.
