2021 Projected Win Total: O/U 9

On The Field

Utah has gotten off to a slow start in 2021 with a 1-2 record. Their lone victory came against Weber State, and they suffered losses to both BYU and San Diego State. They have yet to play a Power Five school and have already suffered two defeats. The big news coming out of Salt Lake City this week is that Baylor transfer QB, Charlie Brewer has left the Utah Football program. There have not been a ton of details, but this is a massive loss for Utah. Cameron Rising will assume the QB#1 role for the Utes going forward.

In The Market

SimUtah has a share price of $39.82 making them the fifth-highest priced team in the Pac-12. This is way too expensive for a mediocre team like Utah. I would stay away from Utah as they have nine Pac-12 games to finish the regular season. Give or take a week or so for Rising to get used to the offense and Utah might be looking at a sub-500 record to end the year. Even though they have some “easy games” like Arizona State and Colorado, one of Utah’s losses came at the hands of BYU who beat Arizona State last weekend. Like I said earlier, I don’t want anything to do with this team or that price tag.
