2020 Win Total: 8-3 (5-3)
2021 Projected Win Total: 7.5
On The Field:
2020 might not have been the most memorable season for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but putting up eight wins during the pandemic is nothing to sneeze at. Mike Gundy has been in Stillwater for a long time and has had some consistent success. They played a pretty mediocre schedule and didn’t blow any of their opponents out, but wins are wins. They had a tough three-point win versus Miami in a bowl game and kept that rolling into 2021.
Gundy’s squad started the season 3-0, but all three wins were by less than a touchdown including to Missouri State in Stillwater. I am going to contradict something I said earlier but the wins this year for Oklahoma State almost feel like losses. Barley beating Tulsa and Boise State is the most confidence-inducing start to a Big 12 schedule.
In The Market
The SimOklahoma State Cowboys are just outside the top twenty in the SimBull CFB market. They are 21st overall with a share price of $43.61 but are fourth overall in the Big 12. Despite barely beating far inferior opponents their price has continued to rise in the market.
The remainder of their season gets a lot tougher as they get into their conference games, but investors already having 3 win payouts before the end of September should make them happy.
