SimBull 2021 CFB Full Team Breakdown: Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Welcome to Vendetta’s SimBull CFB full team breakdowns, where the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs for their share value on SimBull and next up is Rutgers University. Check out the last breakdown here.

2020 Record: 3-6 (3-6 BIG 10)

2021 Projected Win Total (via MGM): 4.5

On The Field

The Scarlet Knights have gotten off to a hot start, to say the least. After many projected their win total to be at 4.5, Greg Schiano and Rutgers have won their first three games. While they only beat Syracuse, Delaware, and Temple a win is a win. QB Noah Vedral has shown he can make the requisite throws from the pocket going for 600 yards and four touchdowns in their three games. Vedral also poses a threat with his legs and his numbers have shown that as he ranks second on the team in rushing yards.

Their schedule gets brutal as their next three games are against Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State. Three BIG 10 games and three teams that have owned Rutgers in recent memory.

In The Market

The SimKnights are one of the cheapest teams in all of college football. Its share price of $25.43 is the second-lowest in the BIG 10, only Illinois has a lower price. Even though the price is low, their schedule is brutal for the next couple of weeks. If you already have some stock in Rutgers, I would hold on to it but monitor very closely. Rutgers only needs two more wins to reach their projected win total, if they can reach that threshold their share price could see an increase.

Schiano has done a great job with Rutgers, if they could pick up three more wins this season, they will have doubled their win total from a year ago. Rutgers could be a buy-low option heading into next year.
