On The Field
2020 was different in East Lansing, Michigan than it has been in years past. For the first time in close to 25 years, Mark Dantonio was not on the sidelines for the Spartans. The reigns to the program were handed to Mel Tucker and his first season was full of disappointment. They lost to Rutgers at home, and despite beating their big brother Michigan in the Big House, the Spartans were never able to capitalize on the momentum.
Year two for Tucker has gotten off to a great start. The Spartans went to Evanston and beat a tough Northwestern team by over ten points and went to Miami and beat the Hurricanes to start 3-0. They only need two more wins to hit the over on their projected win total and they have great changes coming up against Rutgers and Maryland.
In The Market
The SimMichigan State Spartans are in the bottom half of the SimBull CFB market with the 22nd cheapest share price of $34.22. They are the third-cheapest team in the Big Ten ahead of only Rutgers and Nebraska. Considering their share price and the projected win total, this team has already performed above expectations. If they can pull off another upset or two don’t be surprised if this share price gets to the high thirties and possibly even the low forties.
