Ben Roethlisberger Has Sky-High Potential In Fantasy For 2021

Tell me if you heard this one before: The Steelers will be good this year. Oh? That’s pretty much every year? Wild. In an already talented offense the Steelers added even more offensive firepower. Ben Roethlisberger will be at the helm at that talent-fueled offense. There’s no way that he has another average year as a fantasy QB again. Not with this offense.

Last year for fantasy, Ben Roethlisberger was ranked 14th for all fantasy QBs in 2020. That’s about in the average range. There are some things to note about that. 1. He was coming off an elbow injury which made many people think that he actually might retire from it. 2. The Steelers had no run game whatsoever. Those two things won’t be an issue anymore for this year. Big Ben should have fully recovered from his elbow injury and have had ample time to prepare for the 2021 season instead of maybe rushing his progress for 2020.

No James Connor? No problem. The Steelers upgraded the RB position with Najee Harris. Najee Harris himself has loads of fantasy potential too. The way I see it, Big Ben will have plenty of options in his arsenal for fantasy. He has Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, with rookies Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth. You could even mention Eric Ebron but I’m convinced the Steelers hate him so.

There’s no debate that Ben Roethlisberger should be top 10. If he gets like 11th, oh well, that’s close enough. There’s just too much to like in the Steelers offense to not invest into it. If you’re worried about the offensive line, I get the concern, but it’s not the worst line I have ever seen. Big Ben should have a field day in this offense. He might be 39, but the guy can still play. At least, he’s better than his backups. I won’t say that Ben Roethlisberger is your QB1, but if you have him as a QB2, you’re thriving.
