Blake Snell Ripped MLB The Show Over His In-Game Rating

Blake Snell was live on Twitch and saw what he was rated in the newest MLB The Show video game.

“How the heck am I an 82 gold? What kind of crap is that? 82 Gold! What kind of disrespect is that?”

Blake Snell on Twitch

The former Cy Young award winner was not pleased with his ranking in this year’s MLB The Show video game, and I think I have to agree with him. I think hitting in the newest edition of this game is borderline impossible. I have openly struggled with it in my Road to the Show series that is on the Vendetta YouTube channel. GO SUBSCRIBE.

The real story here is not about his overall rating, the best part about all of this is how main stream video games and the gaming world is becoming. Snell is not the only professional baseball player who streams on Twitch and plays video games for the world to see. Trevor May of the New York Mets also has a huge following on Twitch and Twitter because of his presence in the gaming world.

The premier baseball video game franchise prides itself on being realistic and having accurate ratings, but Snell is better than an 82. I mean Clayton Kershaw is a 95, so there has to be some sort of Dodger bias into the ranking formula.

The game had tons of new features including a new and improved Road to the Show, but Diamond Dynasty is their version of Madden’s ultimate team and that mode is huge amongst streamers and content creators. Cards can be improved to a higher rating, so Snell’s 82 can be brought up in time by playing with him and performing well. That doesn’t change the fact that he is underrated in MLB The Show 21, and he should be rated closer to his teammate and cover athlete Fernando Tatis Jr.
