Cameron Krutwig Is The Player To Watch On Loyola-Chicago

Who? Cameron Krutwig, that’s who. Cameron Krutwig has this Loyola-Chicago team rolling. No one can doubt Sister Jean’s influence on this team. However, Cameron Krutwig is the player to watch on the court for them. Krutwig was a vital reason why the Ramblers were able to upset the #1 seed Illinois. He had 19 points and 12 rebounds for this team. That was 26% of his team’s points and a whopping 40% of the rebounds for his team.

Krutwig is the team leader for points and rebounds on this team. He averages 15 PPG on 57.6% shooting. The next player for PPG is Lucas Williamson with 8.8 on 44% shooting. He averages 6.9 RPG as well for this team. The next player for rebounds is Aher Uguak with 4 rebounds per game.

This is Krutwig’s senior year. It is highly unlikely that Krutwig has a future at the professional level. However, this is the last big run as the leader of Loyola-Chicago for him. They have a solid chance to go to the Final Four now. They already eliminated the #1 seed in their region and only have Oregon State, Syracuse, and Houston left in their region. Those are all winnable games for the Ramblers.

If they make the Final Four, that looks like where their Cinderella dream will end if they face off against Baylor. But man, if they reach the final, the whole world will go ballistic. Sister Jean will be known as the biggest Sister today. Loyola-Chicago might be thought of as a big-time school, much like how Gonzaga is now. Cameron Krutwig would have a solid shot to make an NBA team. Are we getting ahead of ourselves here? Maybe, who cares? Let’s hope this Cinderella doesn’t end.
