Patrick Mahomes’ One-Month-Old Daughter Receives Soccer Scholarship

Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his Fiancée Brittany Matthews had their first child on February 20^th of 2021. Despite being less than one month old Sterling Skye Mahomes appears to be catching the interest of those from Patrick Mahomes’ Alma Mater.

The young Sterling Skye Mahomes signed a letter of intent to play collegiate level soccer at Texas Tech. This document was signed on February 22, just two days after her birth. Although she could still explore other college options when the time comes, it is very possible that she follows in her father’s footsteps.

Sterling Mahomes is less than a month old. She got a national letter of intent for soccer scholarship offer from Texas Tech 2 days after she was born.

Sterling Mahomes, however, will have a lot to live up to if she decides to attend and play sports in Texas. While at Texas Tech Patrick Mahomes threw for 93 TD passes in his three years as a starter. He also threw the third most passing yards in school history with 11,252 yards, in only 3 years. Despite his excellent individual achievements, Mahomes only has a record of 16-21 while at Texas Tech. However, it is hard to blame the super bowl winning quarterback for the lack of his collegiate success.

However, Patrick Mahomes is not the only superstar athlete in the family. Brittany Matthews has her own impressive resume. While playing soccer at UT Tyler she tallied 31 goals and 16 assists over her 4 seasons. Matthews also won all-region honors in her senior year. When she graduated in 2017 Matthews had scored the second-most career points in school history.

If Sterling Skye Mahomes has even a fraction of the talent as her parents, she will be an excellent athlete. It’s no wonder that Texas Tech signed her up so soon after her birth.
