Projected Manager Of The Year Winners For The 2021 MLB Season

Being at the helm of a team and the forefront of every decision they go by is daunting and terrifying. Only 30 men can handle a baseball team, and they put up with a lot of bullshit. The league seems to highly praise the managers who put up with injured players and the overall underdog position. This was proven last year by Don Mattingly, who had to somehow guide his Marlins where at one point almost the entire team was infected with COVID-19. This forced them to play many doubleheaders. Yet they finished the season on time and in fact, went to the playoffs. Let’s see who’s able to this year what Donny baseball (hopefully without COVID). Here are my projected Manager of the Year Winners.

American League: Tony La Russa (White Sox)

At the helm once again for Chicago, is storied manager Tony La Russa. This year he was blessed with an exceptionally amazing team that is in the midst of a serious need to be successful in the postseason. They have all the right pieces and a manager who knows how to carry them far. I dare say, the Chicago White Sox are the Padres of the AL. Young exciting talent who are putting the team back in playoff conversation for the first time in a while. Tony La Russa will be able to handle the young flashy players like Tim Anderson and Luis Robert. He has experience dating back to coaching the unpredictability of Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire in the late 1980s. He will be able to manage anything that’s thrown at him, receiving my vote for AL manager of the year.

Projected record: 93-68

Runner-ups: Scott Servais (Mariners), Kevin Cash (Rays)

National League: Luis Rojas (Mets)

The New York Mets, like the White Sox, are a young and hungry team poised for excellence. At the helm is Luis Rojas, who has one lackluster year under his belt so far going 26-34 in 2020. With the offseason moves the Mets made, Rojas has nothing to worry about. The team has expendable talent ranging from Pete Alonso, Jacob deGrom, Francisco Lindor, Dom Smith, and loads more. Rojas may not have to do anything, except sit back and relax and watch his talented ballclub take the field every day. Let’s just hope the Mets curse doesn’t come to bite them in the ass.

Projected record: 95-67

Runner-ups: Jayce Tingler (Padres), Dave Roberts (Dodgers)
