Cancel culture has found a new victim for the day, KFC from Barstool Sports. KFC is in some hot water over his tweets which have since been deleted, “poking fun” at Tiger Woods’ recent car crash.
Tiger Woods was in a car accident early in the morning in California, but details slowly became public and information was making its way onto Twitter.
The first report that came out was that Woods was in a car accident and had broken both of his legs, which seemed skeptical to KFC because this isn’t the first time a report that a star athlete had broken both of their legs was on Twitter incorrectly.
These are two examples of a Twitter search for a star athlete and broken legs car crash. It is not something KFC just made up, so when the first reports were only broken legs, it was easy for him to assume it was a hoax.
KFC immediately knew he was wrong when more information was becoming public and tweeted out an apology, but this is where cancel culture started coming for his throat.
When his initial tweet wasn’t enough for the cancel culture crew, he explained more and showed his followers how the internet has used this joke for years.
Part of KFC’s job along with the other bloggers at Barstool Sports is to be on social media, know the platforms, and making jokes on all subjects. His tweets were well before more information came out and was picked up by other media outlets.
Cancel Culture coming for KFC Barstool isn’t surprising, he has been in the tabloids before for some of his personal life choices, so he is often the target for the Barstool haters to lock onto.
