Enes Kanter has played for many teams. But he has truly found his home in Portland.
Enes Kanter had gotten familiar with the system the Blazers had after playing against them so many times when he was with the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder.
During the 2018-19 season, the New York Knicks put Kanter on the waivers. The Portland Trail Blazers had picked him up, aiming for him to be the backup center to Jusuf Nurkic.
Right before the playoffs Nurkic got injured, and Kanter went into full beast mode. In eight regular season games and in the playoffs that year Kanter averaged a double-double for the Blazers.
After the playoffs ended, Kanter signed a deal with the Boston Celtics. Only to be traded back to the Portland Trail Blazers a year later.
Which by the way Portland stole that deal. They gave up a no good Mario Hezonja for Kanter.
With the Blazers this season, he is having himself a career year. He was brought back in, to backup Nurkic again but the Blazers needed him to start once again. This time, Nurkic is only out for 6 weeks, not a whole month.
This season Kanter has been willing to do the dirty work for the Blazers.

This season, his Player efficiency rating is the best its ever been at 21.9 which ranks 24th in the NBA.
Whether or not, Nurkic is the Man at Center in Portland. Enes Kanter loves it in Rip City and he fits in Portland.
The Blazers will have to choose what to do at the Center position after this season though, because both Kanter and Nurkic are Free Agents.
