Mike Evans: Tom Brady Is The GOAT For A Reason
If you’re not a believer that Tom Brady is the GOAT after his 7th Super Bowl win, then I’m not sure what else we can do for you. Even as a long-time Brady Hater, I can’t deny that he is undoubtedly the GOAT. Some thought the common argument that Tom Brady was a system QB was stupid. I will stick with that argument, even if he is the GOAT. Mike Evans says this just proves that he is the GOAT. To win another Super Bowl with a different team. His quote via ProFootballTalk:
“It’s hard to do what he did, to come without an offseason, learn a new system as a quarterback — the hardest position in all of team sports — and to just pick it up like he’s been running this offense for a long time,” Evans said. “Obviously we got better as the year went on, but man, Tom’s the GOAT for a reason. He played great all year. We needed him to do that and we got the goal that we were aiming for.”
Mike Evans also noted that the change of adding Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski didn’t take long to notice.
“It was instant. If you add Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback of all time, that’s going to do it itself,” Evans said. “We have a lot of great players around him. As Trey Daubert mentioned on That’s Some Cheese, Tom Brady is the luckiest guy alive. There’s no one luckier that has lived. Tom Brady has just proved that you can be a system QB, the luckiest guy, not just NFL player, alive, AND still be the GOAT. It’s only cemented in stone that he is the GOAT, as much as I don’t want to admit it.
