Leonard Williams: We Have A Real Culture Here And I Love The Way This Team Is Going

Despite their 5-7 record, the New York Giants and their fans are on cloud 9 right now. After defeating the Seattle Seahawks 17-12 on Sunday and taking sole first place in the NFC East, the Giants feel invincible. Leonard Williams, who had 2.5 sacks against the Seahawks, loves the way this team is going. The full quote provided by ProFootballTalk:

“This has been a fun season and I think the beginning of the season is when the team and the guys and the coaches prove to each other what type of team we really have,” Williams said. “It’s easier to be happy and see the good things when you guys are winning, but I feel like we all see the good things in each other and what we have, even when we were losing. That just helped continue to build our confidence in each other and build on what we have working here. Eventually, it turns into a snowball and it keeps building up. I feel like we have a real culture here now and I love the way this team is going.”

Leonard Williams says it has been a fun season despite their spotty record. That can be contributed to their culture. After starting 1-7 for the season, the Giants have now won 4 in a row to be 5-7. They are riding on their momentum at the right time as we near the end of the season. They will need as much help as they can for their last 4 games. The Giants end their season with games against the Cardinals, Browns, Ravens, and Cowboys. At worst, I think the Giants will be 6-10, getting at least one win against the Cowboys.

The Giants culture and momentum will be put to the test with the electric Cardinals, the red-hot Browns, and the stout Ravens. We’ll see, but the Giants are the favorites to go to the playoffs as the NFC East champion.
