The Chicago Bulls moved up from the seventh-best odds to the No. 4 pick and brand new coaching staff and front office. Although they want to blow up the many former management mistakes and trade up to select their guy, it would make much more sense to stay at pick number four.
According to ESPN, the top-10 prospects are as follows:
The Bulls should only look into the top-five, but fans know how draft day is.
Picks one, two, and three belong to the Timberwolves, Warriors, and Hornets. Of those three, the most likely team to trade out of their pick is the Golden State Warriors. Minnesota was rumored to have shopped the first pick, but now seems content on keeping it, while the Hornets can never get anything right.
For a Bulls-Warriors trade to go down, Chicago would have to relinquish the fourth overall pick. No ifs ands or buts. The Bulls would also likely need to part ways with Daniel Gafford, a high energy player.
The only person the Bulls would need to trade up for is Lamelo Ball, but with Coby White looking promising as the starting point guard, there’s almost no need to make a trade. Besides, White is on his way to becoming the playmaker Chicago needs.
At the No. 4 pick, the Chicago Bulls could have the opportunity to take Lamelo if Avdija isn’t on the board. Deni is the best Small Forward in the draft, which is the Bulls’ pressing position of need. Onyeka Okongwu would be an excellent backup option for Lauri Markkenan and Wendell Carter Jr.
Overall; the best option is Deni Avdija seeing as the Bulls need an SF and can rebuild the rest of the starters once the small forward spot is locked down.
