Trade Grades: Celtics Trade Kristaps Porzingis In 3-Way Deal

I’m not sure a a group of fans in a city have been screwed harder than the honest working people in Boston. The Red Sox have made fools out of themselves. The Celtics and Brad Stevens said… Hold my beer. The C’s just gave Kristaps Porzingis away for nothing, and we have to talk about it in the trade grades.

Celtics: Grade F-

There’s nothing that needs to be said beyond this

Sorry, not sorry, but anybody who trades Porzingis straight up for Niang has serious mental problems and isn’t that smart.

Another example of bad forward-thinking coming out of the city of Boston. The Jrue Holiday trade proved it. They didn’t get under the tax with the first move so they made a panic trade to do so with the second trade. That’s exactly what happened.

If the Celtics were smart, this is what they would have done.

Hawks: Grade A-

Great move by the Hawks. Taking on one year of Porzingis at this price is a no-brainer. They’re still a directionless team, but you can’t argue for taking on Porzingis for pennies.

Nets: Grade A+

I genuinely have no idea what the Nets even gave up? So they get Terance Mann and a first round pick while giving up nothing? I don’t even understand how this phone call happened.

Yeah, we’ll take Mann and a first round pick while you dummies haggle over the rest?

Credit to Sean Marks, I guess. Highway robbery for Brooklyn.
