Steph Curry To Consider Broadcasting After Retirement

I hate that we have to consider the NBA without Steph Curry playing in it. He is one of the most polarizing NBA players the league has ever seen and has made his immediate impact on the game ever since being in the league. He is by far the greatest shooter the world has ever seen and debatably the greatest PG ever (can’t dismiss the Magic Johnson). However, his impact is greater than Magic’s. For better or for worse, kids who are just starting to play basketball and all the way up to the NBA try to be like Curry and be able to shoot 3s at an efficient rate. Keyword: is try, nobody can do it like Curry. But… what’s life for Steph Curry after his NBA playing career? It sounds like the legend has considered broadcasting after his retirement. Quotes provided by Awful Announcing:

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry told CNBC Sport that he would “for sure” consider a career in broadcasting after his playing days are over.

Although, the move might not be immediate. Curry mentioned how Tom Brady only took a year off before he got into broadcasting and how that might not be the move for him.

“I would be more patient,” Curry said.

“I think about what would be the right opportunity for me, ’cause anything that I do, I want to be all in on it,” he continued. “Right now, just doing your homework on the different pathways and options that might be available.”

Draymond Green has dabbled into the NBA analyst world, and he’s actually pretty good at it. I don’t even really like Draymond as an NBA player, but he definitely has a future as an analyst. Broadcasting is a little bit different, something that another legendary shooter in Reggie Miller, does. There’s no telling how well Steph Curry would do in that field, Tom Brady kinda stunk at broadcasting, where guys like Tony Romo and Greg Olsen thrived. Everyone is a little bit different in that aspect.

Do you think there is a future for Steph Curry in that field or should he just avoid it altogether? Let me know what you think in the comments.
