The Mavericks Have Revealed Their Plans For Cooper Flagg

Let’s just jump to the chase here. Anyone who thought that the Luka Doncic trade was a good idea by the Mavericks is a total idiot. We’re in drunk driver has to take away the keys mode on everything Nico Harrison touches. So, after the NBA rigged Cooper Flagg is Dallas’ favor, what will they actually do with that first overall pick?

It turns out, Nico Harrison isn’t dumb enough to screw up the Cooper Flagg pick. Paul George might be, but Harrison isn’t. You can find more on this in a post written by Hanny (this is me doing clickbait cheese), but it’s been confirmed that the Mavericks will turn the card in for the superstar prospect out of Duke. There will be no trade, and Flagg will be the pick.

It seems as though Flagg isn’t down on the Mavericks’ landing spot. In fairness, it could have been far worse. This team doesn’t have any long term pieces, but a core of Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving isn’t nothing. Most number one overall picks don’t get to play with that type of guy on their team right away as a rookie. It’s certainly better than when Kyrie and Davis had to deal with when they were first overall picks themselves.

Don’t worry Mavs fans, even Nico can’t screw this up. Here’s the bigger question at hand that I can’t believe more people aren’t thinking about… are we sure this whole Luka, Flagg thing wasn’t totally rigged to help with NBA ratings? We’re positive it wasn’t?
