Jack Kiser 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Where does Jack Kiser stand among the rest of the linebackers in the 2025 NFL Draft? That’s what we’re here to talk about, duh, so I’m just going to get to the point if you don’t mind now, considering it feels like I have 700 more of these to do before the draft.

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1Sugar Bowl, Senior Bowl (3)

Kiser, 25 in September, was a four star recruit during the 2019 cycle. He was also the 13th ranked outside linebacker in the country and 5th ranked player in the state of Indiana. The 6th year senior spent all of his eligibility with the Fighting Irish.

No need to beat around the bush with this part. It’s about if Kiser can actually overcome it. The guy is dirt slow. The guy looked like he was trying to play Twister, trying to cover Trevor Etienne at the Senior Bowl. We don’t have a 40 time here, and it’s pretty obvious why. Kiser isn’t just slow. He might be slow to the point where it’s beyond the threshold of being able to impact the game.

2024 was obviously his best year, but he’s also at an advanced age. In 2024, Kiser posted 90 tackles, two forced fumbles, and two sacks. His prior career high in tackles was the season before with 62. The real positive here is that Kiser played 70 games for Notre Dame, and you got consistent play throughout.

Here’s the other problem. Kiser checks in at 6-foot-2, 231. He’s not overly big and powerful. Given his speed, you better play the run at an A+ level, and I just don’t see that. Decent instincts and tackles pretty well but has a short wingspan and can get lost trying to navigate through the line.

I have an undrafted grade on Kiser, but he’s at least worth a preseason invite. We’re looking at the same mold as a guy like JD Bertrand. Knock yourself out if you want to use a late round pick here but the speed is so poor he’s almost not worth being on the list.
