We already did the write-up on JT Tuimoloau. Now it’s time to do his running mate, Jack Sawyer. What does the Ohio State edge rusher bring to the table? That’s why I assume you’re here, so let’s not waste any more time and get to his 2025 NFL Draft profile!

Feel free to check out the stock report notes here. I’ll say this. If we learned anything this year, the Sam Hubbard comps are unfair. I think Sawyer is a much better version of that. We saw Sawyer wreck the game plenty this past year. Just go watch the game against Texas, or even drag his team into the fight against Michigan last year.

Sawyer, 22, was a five star recruit during the 2021 cycle. The Pickerington, Ohio, native was the number six overall player, fourth ranked DL, and number one player in the state. His teammate JTT was ranked as the second overall player in the country during that same cycle. The two have been wreaking havoc ever since.

No Combine in terms of athletic testing for the 6-foot-4, 260 defensive end. He did, however, do the on-field stuff and looked great doing it. No concern in the knee bend. Definitely not a bad athlete. Technically sound and passed the test there. Sawyer isn’t overly bendy in general, but the guy is strong and knows how to win hand fighting.

This past season, Sawyer notched nine sacks, one pick, and a team leading three forced fumbles while being named Second-team All-Big Ten. He’s been a full time starter the last two years but was an Immediate rotational piece right away.

The guy plays the run really well, and what you can’t teach is the guy has a motor. Seems to have high competitive stamina, and you can’t put a price on that. 38 QB hurries is not a small number from this past year.
