Kobe Hudson 2025 NFL Draft Profile

We’re zooming through these prospects and UCF wide receiver Kobe Hudson is next up to-do on the list. We can all agree nobody cares about these intro paragraphs so I can keep things moving, right? Anywho… here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Hudson!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1Week 3

Hudson, 22, was a four star prospect out of the state of Georgia. After two years at Auburn, he finished out at UCF. I’m not sure following down the Gus Malzahn train was the wisest move, but that’s what Hudson decided to do. The 6-foot-1, 193, receiver has three pretty productive years with UCF. It’s also rumored he was kicked off the Auburn team but it’s unclear what actually happened there.

RJ Harvey was the engine of that offense, but Hudson was clearly a piece who contributed. This past season, Hudson produced 47 receptions for 770 yards and four scores. That was with shaky QB play including KJ Jefferson being benched (something I already discussed at length). The year before, Hudson actually averaged 20.5 yards per catch and scored eight touchdowns.

At the Combine, I really didn’t have much to say. He was there. He competed. On the slower side and not fast short area, but not puke-worthy bad. Mostly solid but clearly not a world beater. If you read the stock report notes, I do have some kind words to say. He’s something. It’s just unclear if he’s more than a depth piece at the next level. The problem is if you’re not going to be a crazy mover, having six drops last season isn’t exactly ideal.

Has some play strength and can win contested catches but not exactly the best route runner ever. If you’re a believer, look no further than the TCU game that you can read at the top in the Week 3 notes. Can actually play outside and win down the field.

I honestly don’t know what to make of Hudson. I don’t think he’s great. I also don’t think he totally sucks either. I apologize for the Switzerland type breakdown, but sometimes you’re just a guy, and that’s what it feels like Hudson is.
