I used this cover image specifically in the image database one of our devs put together. This one is seven layers deep and we’re going well past the fact that it looks like he’s taking a dump here. Let’s have a chat about Notre Dame wide receiver Beaux Collins. Feel free to comment if you agree or disagree on this 2025 NFL Draft profile.
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1, College Football Playoff First Round, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, National Championship
Collins, 22, started out his collegiate career at Clemson. Was fairly highly recruited playing at St. John’s Bosco Prep in California. Collins was a four star recruit when he joined Clemson and early one, it felt like he could resemble some of those old Clemson wide outs you all recognize and know.
31 receptions for 407 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman was fairly encouraging. That was with DJ Uiagalelei too, who we talked about already in the profile series. It’s another reminder progression is not always linear and it just so happened that Collins was essentially done getting better. Collins had fewer receptions and yards the following year. Junior year was essentially the same as his freshman year. Then goes to Notre Dame and performs like… well, you can read that at the stop with the Stock notes.
The Irish wide receiver finished 2024 with 41 receptions for 490 yards and three touchdowns. If you want to blame Riley Leonard, feel free but if we’re being honest about it, he was the third best receiver on his own college team at an advanced age. When a lacrosse player is running circles around you, it’s hard to get excited about him. Again, all that information is there at the top for you. Trey has nothing to hide. I understand other NFL Draft analysts who suck at this claim “the tape” over and over again but show no evidence of said tape. All my notes throughout the year are at the top and it won’t take you long to figure out why I’m out here.
Even the Georgia playoff game. That picture you see at the top. Catches one pass for a touchdown. Guy is a total slug. Very much a wide receiver but acts like one of those zone eating tight ends who can barely move. Checks in at 6-foot-3, 201, and has some height on him.
The only problem is he pussed out on the Combine, which isn’t a surprise. He would have tested like the turd that he is so he had every reason to hide what was going to be a nightmare performance. If you don’t believe me, then explain to me how someone can play all of the College Football playoff games but is magically not healthy once you get weeks upon weeks of rest to workout without getting hit at the Combine.
I have an undrafted grade on Beaux Collins. He reminds me of Chase Claypool except he sucks more without the thickness of power. Probably needs to be a tight end, has zero frame that resembles a tight end. No, thank you. Hard pass for me on this one.
