It looks as if the exodus has begun at the Nou Camp as Ronald Koeman and his team look to rebuild ahead of the new season. Ivan Rakitic was the first out the door as he re-signed with former club Sevilla for €1.5 million and now it looks as if striker Luis Suarez could be the next on the move. The Uruguayan striker is deemed surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp and could be set for a move to Italian giants Juventus according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

After the humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last month, Barcelona sacked their manager Quique Setien and replaced him with former player Ronald Koeman. With a new manager comes a new approach and Koeman is said to not want Luis Suarez as a first-team player. This has opened the door for the striker to look elsewhere with former club Ajax and PSG rumored to be interested. It is believed Ajax recently completed a deal sending midfielder Donny van de Beek to Manchester United in order to fund the transfer.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport though Suarez has chosen to instead move to Serie A and link up with former rival Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus. The Italian champions are rumored to have already met with Luis Suarez’s representatives twice and agreed to pay him £9 million per year – similar to what he currently earns at Barcelona. All that’s left to agree on is a fee.

Barcelona will want to recoup a chunk of the £74 million they paid Liverpool in 2014 for the Uruguayan striker, but with only one year left on his contract, the Catalan club will likely have to settle for half that in an effort to supply Koeman with much-needed cash to rebuild the fallen giants.
