Jerry Jeudy Believes The Madden Jets Rumor Is Fake

If you thought the rumor of the Jets passing on the chance to trade for Jerry Jeudy because of his Madden rating was crazy, you weren’t alone. Then again, the original report is from the trash publication The Athletic so it very well could be fake news.

When asked about the report, Jeudy is refusing to believe it’s true.

“To be honest, I don’t believe it. I think that’s fake news,” Jeudy said, via Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan. “For real, why would somebody look at Madden ratings? Be real. I don’t think that’s real, but it is funny.”

When it comes to the Jets, it’s hard to know what’s real and fake. Although, they’re so poorly run that you can’t rule anything out. Sam Darnold looks like a Hall of Famer now with the Vikings but was viewed as a total failure with the Jets. That’s not an accident.

Instead of landing in New York, the Browns were the team that acquired him via trade from Denver instead. The former Alabama product credits his hard work for the career highs he’s put up this year.

Jeudy, 25, has 84 receptions for 1,166 yards, and four touchdowns this season.

“I feel like I belong there,” Jeudy said. “I’ve been working my tail off through this whole off season and now it’s finally showing being put in a position I’m in now. Now it’s time to take advantage of every opportunity coming forward.”
